Welcome to the TrekOps Division of the UCIP SIMming organization. TrekOps Division is currently devoted to developing a continuous and cumulative In-Character Universe, based upon the Star Trek franchise up through to the film Star Trek: First Contact, and continuing the adventures and stories in the ‘UCIP Dimension.’

From an In-Character point of view TrekOps Division is set in the year 2411, with the continuity of each active SIM existing together in the same In-Character setting.  The actions and events of individuals and SIMs alike contribute to building this continuous universe and are supported by the Fleet and Divisional structures, both In-Character and Out-of-Character, to provide a quality experience and an enriched, fulfilling backdrop for players from the new cadet to the seasoned senior officer.

Each SIM is led by an appointed Commanding Officer (CO) and Executive Officer (XO) who work to ensure a quality and enjoyable experience for the players, taking their characters to the furthest reaches of the galaxy, and their imaginations. We harness that spark of insanity into a community of creativity.

Each Fleet has designated areas of operation. Alpha Fleet SIMs are primarily situated in the Alpha Quadrant (see map below) or the Gamma Quadrant, which is accessible by the Bajoran Wormhole and the Spinward March Wormhole. Beta Fleet is primarily situated in the Beta Quadrant (see map below) or in the Delta Quadrant, which is reachable by limited availability of Slipstream-capable ships.

Below is the map of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Each square represents a Sector, which by most definitions are roughly 20 Light-years across. The 2-dimensional representation is not 100% accurate, however, as it is attempting to show material from a 3-dimensional reality into a confined space, so it should be used only to give a general sense where things are, and not an exact navigational tool.
