The purpose of SIM Evaluations in Fleet Reports is to assist SIM and Fleet
Commands in understanding recognizable levels of perceived status based upon
minimum performance expectations, using the colors attributed to the levels of
status commonly used in Star Trek (Green, Yellow, Red). Below are the general
descriptions of what each evaluation color typically means.
Green: Status Quo. SIM is meeting minimum expectations of activity and
quality in most or all areas of operation.
Yellow: Warning Level. SIM is meeting minimum expectations of activity and
quality in some or most areas of operations, with areas needing improvement.
Red: Danger Level. SIM is meeting minimum expectations of activity and
quality in few or some areas of operations, with most areas needing
improvement. Mulitple Red Evaluations may necessitate active changes in a
specific SIM’s operations.
The number of factors taken into account for Fleet evaluations of SIMs is
dependent upon the specific situation of each SIM, and thus Fleet evaluations
are meant to be guides in when improvement is needed, accompanied by
suggestions for what specific areas are in need of improvement. The minimum
expectations typically means the accepted necessary level of operation for a
quality SIM experience, for the players on a SIM and that SIM’s participation
in the Fleet/Division.
