1. Sims who have missed 2 consecutive reports with no written communication will be automatically given a ‘Yellow’ status, no sanctions. Fleet Command Teams will attempt contact twice within the sims report period.
a. Status will last until 2 consecutive reports come in or there has been written communication for 2 report periods.
2. No sim will be awarded sim wide awards after 3 consecutive reports are missed with no written communication.
a. No command team awards will be presented or approved after 3rd consecutive missed sim report with no communication.
b. Time in grade for command teams, including 2O, will be frozen after the 3rd consecutive missed report with no written communication
c. Sanctions will last until 3 consecutive reports have come in or there has been regular communication for 3 reporting periods
3. After the 4th missed report with no written communication the sim will be given an automatic ‘Red’ status.
a. In addition, a command team will be put on probation for one month and assigned a mentor as well as loosing one grade in rank after the 4th missed report with no written communication.
Now, please understand, while there is a loophole written in to this policy about just needing written communication if you are not able to turn in a report, abuse will be handled on a case by case basis. Also, after a mentor is assigned due to missing 4 reports that mentors report will be evaluated by DivCom and Fleet Commands on a case by case.
Sim reports are not fun and they are time consuming at times, however, it is the CO’s job and responsibility to make sure they get out on time. Myself and my command team on my sim do it, the Fleet Commands and Division both do it as well, it is the biggest part of communication here in the text based environment.
