Starfleet Operations oversees the operational forces within Starfleet. The current Chief of Starfleet Operations is TBA.
All Starfleet vessels and bases are assigned formally to either Alpha or Beta Fleets, with specific Task Forces created to deal with mission-specific requirements.
Alpha Fleet
Alpha Fleet, as the name suggests, incorporates the entirety of Starfleet’s Alpha Quadrant Operations, however it also incorporates Starfleet’s burgeoning Gamma Quadrant operations. Although the primary focus is exploration, especially in the Gamma Quadrant, with several major powers such as the Cardassian Union, Breen, Dominion, and Ferengi- well maybe not Ferengi.

Beta Fleet
Beta Fleet represents the Federation at it’s best – with representatives from the three major powers Federation, Klingon and Romulan all co-existing – sometimes peacefully and some times not but all with the goal of maintaining the delicate balance of power within the Beta Quadrant, while also directing the ongoing exploration of the Delta Quadrant.
