Ongoing Worlds published the latest episode of their acclaimed Simming Endeavor in which 13 original contestants competed for a $100USD grand prize in a Survivor style on-line role-playing ‘game show’. It’s been 9 weeks of whittling down the numbers through a series of judges and writing based challenges, and one name seems to be coming up over and over and over in the top tier and winner’s circle;
UCIP’s very own Madame President; October.
This past week judge, John Nugra of UFOP: Starbase 118, was selected to put the remaining writers through their paces with a challenge that would see them return their characters to the Trek genre after a couple weeks of penning them in a Victorian ‘Jack the Ripper’ style who-done-it mystery.
October took her 4th consecutive win with Nugra having this to say about her response to his calling; “I really liked the cadence on this one and how it evoked imagery. Very well done.”
With October now in the top 4, she’s proven that she’s not only in legend in UCIP’s books, but across the community. Having won her own personal Squiddie, there’s small wonder of this, but we can’t help but continue to cheer from the sidelines as she continues to perform in what she calls Simming’s version of the ‘Breeder’s Cup Classic’. To the rest of us who aren’t avid equestrians, we’ll just say it’s the Superbowl of Simming.
The final four authors are extremely talented as a whole. We’ve repeatedly seen OnGoing Worlds’ own LargeHobbit taking home high praises, winning the first challenge, and finishing a robust second on many occasions. If we had to guess, it’ll likely come down to these twin titans at the very end.
Win or place, at this point, October has undoubtedly cemented her name in Simming history and proven, once again, that UCIP is a force like no other.
